Hi All
hope you all are having a better Sunday than I.
This morning i began the job of replacing both gas filters as some members
of the list sugested as a possible solution to the loss of power in my 83
XJS.
I tried to start the car before i began the job and it would not start so i
was convinced i was on the right track.
Well a few hours latter and a lot of gas fumes i put it all back together
and eagerly inserted the key anticipating to hear the roar of the engine. I
was very dissapointed the car turned over fine but it did not start.
some sugestion was made that it may be the coil i woulde appreciate any
suggestion as to which may be the best way to check the coil and any other
possible reasons for my problems
Thanks again to all

Konstantine,
check for spark, then try a rubber mallet on the ecu.
