Don’t remember the last time I saw a Motorweek that ripped into any
make or brand.

They always seem so polite, even when they want to be negative.

Has Motorweek ever posted a scathing review for any car?–

Yeah, they’re sort of a look-at-the-bright-side sort of rag, aren’t
they? Kinda like listening to the judges on the Voice prattle on
after a performance, they ALWAYS say the performance was excellent.
Makes the entire exercise pointless.

Was it Car & Driver that used to rip into cars? I remember one
famous review of a Mustang wherein the reviewers not only reamed Ford
a new one for a bunch of lousy stuff, but pointing out that the lousy
stuff was inexcusable since it was outdated, nobody should still be
doing it. They didn’t get a chance to review any Mustangs for three
years after that. When they finally did, in the course of a
comparison test between several competing models, they figured out
why: Ford hadn’t fixed a THING over the three years, the lousy stuff
was still there!
