[xj-s] occasional ABS light 95 xjs 4.0 help and input please!

In reply to a message from Dave 95XJS sent Sat 16 Aug 2008:

Jumper the ABS plug in the trunk and post any code/s you get here
first of all - count the number of flashes of the ABS light on the
dash. I don’t know what you mean ‘‘reset’’ the contacts. Is a plug
loose? Are terminals loose in a plug.

I get an intermittent ABS light in my '95 XJS and pulled the codes
(37 and 43) for a right rear wheel sensor. I’m going to try to
check it out this weekend.

A tip: Jaguar used Teves ABS and so did Cadillac, only the Jaguar
scan tool ABS codes are listed in my Jaguar workshop manual not
the ‘‘light flash codes’’ (for lack of a better description) but they
are listed in the Chilton manual I have for my '97 Eldorado. Pull
the codes post them here and I’ll tell you what they are, which
will narrow your search.–

BigCat: thanks for your reply and info; I’ll refer your findings to
my mechanic; when I said ‘’ reset ‘’ the contacts, I was repeateding
the phrase my mechanic used; not sure what he was referring to;
presumed he meant realigning the sensors on one or all wheels;
thank you!
