[xj-s] One more question regarding remote fob programming!

Can someone tell me if the sound that you listen for when
shorting out the valet switch wires, to put the unit in
‘learn’ mode, comes from the unit in the boot/trunk or from
somewhere else ie in the cabin or from the alarm sounder
under the bonnet/hood? What should you listen for and from
where? Many thanks. Richard–

The sounder is in the front left wheel well behind the headlight.
It will emit the sounds as heard on Mark Janzic’s U-Tube video.–

Thanks. Is it the same sounder that makes the noise if the
car is broken into and also chirps when the remote fob is
used to set the security system along with the lights
flashing? Many thanks. Richard–

Richard,

Did it work for you? I tried programming my '95 for 2 months,
studying and trying out different methods, but finally wound up
paying the dealer to do it with their ‘‘box’’. Just wondered if you
had luck…
