ONE of them is in the housing on the engine side of that
hose. The OTHER thermostat is in the housing on the engine
side of the upper hose coming from the right side of the
radiator.–

Hi:
Thanks davchr your info is about what I thought…

I will check both thermo. before I elect to remove radiator…

Note: I rebuilt the entire rear-end rotors, pads et all…on
my back in my garage…(no big deal)

Ivan,

Make sure you test both in boiling water at the same time,
also have a pot of ice water so you can drop the two stats
into it at the same time. Both should be ‘‘double action’’
stats that have the blocking plate also. They close the
bypass off when the stats open to make all the water go to
the radiator.
If they check good also make sure you put them back in
with the air vents at the twelve o’'clock position so they
vent air. Most books do not stress the need for these
special stats.–
