I have searched the archives and can’t seem to find an answer to my
problem, I have a XJRS 1989 running on (factory fittment) 16x8
Walkinshaw rims 33 offset on the rear 245/55/16 tyres,and 19 offset
on the front 225/50/16 tyres, I wish to fit some nicer rims and
have come across some I like that are 18’’ X 9’'wide with an offset
of 25 and may run 245/45/18 tyres on rear and 235/40/18 on the
front. Has anyone had experience with 9 inch rims and will they fit
with this offset as this is the only size available–

I took my XJR 17X8 rims and had the rears widened to 9’’'s and all
the addition is on the backspacing. Check my math but I think that
adds 24 more mm to the equation. 57 mm backspace on the rear. Fits
perfectly with no rubbing issues. 245/45/17 tires on the front and
275/40/17 on the rears. Photos are on the photo albums somewhere.–
