[xj-s] Ronal offset

Took a good look at the offset while installing my Ronal rims. Also
looked at the invoice which stated that the offset spacers were the
same for front and rear rims. I measured the thickness of the spacers
and they appear to be the same. I then called Ronal who confirmed that
both front and rear wheels have the same offset, 20mm, which is correct
for the mXJ-S. I explained the the sale rep had insisted that the
offsets were different, front and rear, when I ordered the wheels. He
had no explanation. Since I write everything down, I know what I was
told. My apologies for incorrect info on my website. It will be
corrected.

That’s odd … I just ordered Ronals and they said I didn’t need spacers at
all; which is disturbing

Plus, the XK8 wheels only require spacers on the front to switch to the XJS.
I wonder if that means the XK8 offsets vary rather than the XJS …

I do not believe the offset is different but the wheel
center hub cap area is not as high requiring the move
of the wheel out to raise the hub cap enough to clear
the wheel bearing grease cap. The rear wheels have
nothing to clear that sticks out from the mounting
plane.=====
