Not only was Lucas the Prince of Darkness, but I believe he was
on drugs. One coil on my 73 e-type and two coils on my 83 he?
I’m afraid to ask, but does an 93 have three coils and a 03
four coils?

I presume you are talking about a V12 E-Type. If so, the chances are
that the PO may have upgraded to a new single-coil. I don’t think you
can get secondary coils any more, but you can blank off a primary type
coil and use it as a secondary if you prefer that instead of one bigger
coil.
I believe the very latest V12s in the X300 actually had 12 coils, one
for each cylinder, but I could be wrong.
