Looking for some euro down pipes for my 1989 XJS. Does anyone know
of a source here in the USA or Canada? I can find them in GB, no
problem, but wondering if anyone has some stateside, or at least a
good source. I want to do away with my cats.
Any help appreciated–

Jack,
I have seen them on ebay from time to time, and I believe that
Paul’s Jaguar Parts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL carries them from time to
time.–

Seems that a lot of people have made their own ‘‘euro down pipes’’ by
removing the upper matrix/honeycomb from the down pipes. As far as
I know, the only difference between the US versions and
the ‘‘eruo’s’’ is that upper matrix. Maybe someone else can offer
confirmation or more on this.–

I just bought some stainless steel ones from SNG Barrat. They
are made by Bell exhaust. They do not come with O2 sensor
fitting. Just drill a 7/8’’ hole, get an O2 sensor fitting and
weld or have them welded in. You also need different
intermediate pipes to use them. The euro downpipes have a
flange and the catalytic equipped vehicles have slip fit.

my 78 xjs came without cats(RHD UK version).
but I remade larger pipes anyway, factory were to small for
my needs!
a custom performance exhaust system! aka loud.–

I have a set of euro down pipes that were to go on my 1990 conv.
Purchased from Pauls a few years ago. Never got them installed.
They need drilled and 02 bungs installed before use.–
