[xj-s] Victory by Design

Not sure if this subject is appropriate but I thought you
all might be interested. I was at the Rolex Monterey
Historic races this weekend and spoke with Alain de Cadenet
about the status of the show. He said we need to lobby the
Speed Channelto get it restarted, so the ball is in our court.–

The historic races will be televised in a few weeks on
SPEED. But I was talking about the show called ‘Victory by
Design’ in which Alain de Cadenet talked about and drove the
most rare racing automobiles in history. The show was
fantastic and he even drove the original remaining Xk13
loaned by the JDHT. All the episodes are now available on
DVD but there were some that were never aired like the
second half of the Formula One cars. I would like to see the
series continued and developed further. What Alain said was
viewers needed to send emails to SPEED and let them know
that we want to see ‘‘Victory by Design’’ and we hate the crap
like ‘‘101 cars you must drive’’ and ‘‘Wrecked’’.–

I do remember the Victory show now. Yes teh current BS is a bit
pretentious (101 cars what a joke to say the least). I thinks they
are running a low budget show list these days. Thanks will e-mail
Speed and request the Victory show. Best, JW–
