[xj] s3 speedo skipping

Hi All
My S3 Daimler speedo skips uncontrollably sometimes then goes back
to normal at any speed. Has anyone any clues?–

For a post 82.5 car, it’s either the transducer mounted to the
right hand side of the transmission or the speedo itself. Usually,
it’s the transducer.
