[xj] S3 tach wiring

I have a spare S3 XJ6 tach, part # RVC2615/OOF and it has a
flat spade terminal and a round bullet terminal sticking out
of the back. Can anyone tell me which terminal goes where? I
have looked at the wiring diagrams available from the
Captain Jaguar site but they are no specific enough to show
which terminal is which.

Thanks–

On my 1985 XJ6, I believe the round terminal was the tach
signal from the coil, and the flat spade terminal was 12V B+
hot in run and start.

Thanks for the information Dave. Where is the ground then?
Is it through the metal housing of the tach case?–
