I looked but haven’t found the answer anywhere.
I’m working on my wife’s 73 Series 1 XJ6, and while I have the
dash apart, I’d like to replace the AC Expansion valve.
However, every one that I can find online that says it will
work is way too short. The lines on my existing one are
nearly 20’’ long and go from the right side of the dash to a
nub on the left side. Everything I can find is around 13’’
long at best.
Is there someplace that I can get one of these? Thank you,–

I just went through this - finally found a valve with the
proper line length and fitting but it was taller than stock.
Had to cut off the mounting above the valve, move it a few
inches and adapt new lines to the expansion valve.
I would concentrate my searching to the UK or AU as there
does not seem to be the needed one in the USA…cars getting
too old now.
Will send you photos, my AC guy was great and creative and
bent new lines for the new valve. I put in the expansion
valve myself…–
