just swapped my front wings over with a second hand better pair
the better wings came complete with headlamps, indicators
etc so all I had to do was wire them to the existing harness
indicators were simple
but headlamps are not
same wires as the old headlamps except there is an extra
wire which I do not know where it goes to?
its red, the old headlamp had three wires which the newer
headlamp also has but this red wire is confusing me?
any idead?
if it helps I’ve noticed the new headlamps are ‘‘halogen’’
where as my old ones were the old sealed lamp units–

The extra wire, Gareth, is almost certainly for the “city light” - the small
5 watt bulb in the lamp (you should be able to see it if you look
carefully). You can leave it disconnected if you want or “piggy back” it to
the power supply.
