[xj] Series 1 XJ6 Interior colour?

I’m not sure of the name of the interior trim colour on my
Series 1 XJ6. The exterior colour is Regency Red and the
interior is some sort of beige that looks similar to doeskin.
What is the name? I want to re-dye the leather and vinyl
but can’t find proper names anywhere online.

I think it’s biscuit. Doeskin is more grey in comparison.

Chris: the interior is likely to be Cinnamon. Many of the Series I colours
were actually of two tones with a slightly darker tone in the embossing.

In reply to a message from Dr. Gregory Andrachuk sent Thu 24 Feb 2011:

Biscuit (ADE) was very common, particularly with Regency
red. If you remove the door cap, you can see some vinyl
that’s been where the sun never shines, no connotation
intended.

Most of the exposed viny, leather, and fabric fade into sort
of a doeskin colour…but they each fade differently. On a
faded seat, for example, the leather seating surface, vinyl
sides, and fabric back are all different. None of them is
as dark as the original biscuit colour, which looks like,
for lack of a better description, a nicely baked biscuit.–

Chris,
If it’s cinnamon, like my xjc, you can’t match the color as,
like Dr Gregory said, it’s multi coloured. I used color plus
years ago and the only option was to settle for a single
colour that was close.

What is it with Jaguar designers and breakfast??

My 1996 XJ12 is coloured Coffee with a splash of Cream, and
when I bought new front seats they were Oatmeal piped with
Barley and had to be re-dyed.

Now my Series 1 could be Biscuit flavored with Cinnamon?
Delicious.

The front seats are from a Series 1 Daimler Sovereign and
the rear seats are from a Series 3 Sovereign with headrests.
The PO had a go at re-dying, so I think I will just do
everything in a tasty Biscuit colour.
