Hello everyone,
One my 87 SerIII there is an unused fitting on the AC high pressure line
just aft of the compressor. I would like to install a pressure switch at
that location to finish off my electric fan installation. I’ve have tried a
whole slew of GM pressure switches (about a jillion possibilities) but none
are the correct thread size. I was hoping this would be easy, but…I guess
not.
Did Jaguar ever use a pressure switch at that location ? Does anyone know
the thread size ? It is a British thread size or ?? Comments ??

Charlie,
Well we don’t know if the suggested part number for the switch is the
correct thread size…BUT… you certainly jogged my noggin’ when you
mentioned just visiting an AC shop. Great idea, and thanks !
As you probably realize the problem with trying to use OEM catalogs is that
everything is listed by application, not specification. But most parts
stores and specialty shops have catalogs which list parts both ways. Now
don’t ask me why I didn’t think of that.
