[xj] Thermo time switch

Hi Jagsters,
I ordered bits and pieces for the engine from the UK. One part I ordered was
the thermo time switch. When I look at the invoice that came with it says
that it’s for a V12 engine. The box with the switch doesn’t say if it’s for
an XJ6 or an XJ12 but indicates part No. EAC1385. The actual switch says 12V
40W and 35�C 12 sec on it. Is it right for an XJ6?

The EAC1385 is correct for your car.

Sounds like the one I just put on our XJ6 Staffan. Works almost as good as
the wire I had to the shifter. :]–

1985 XJ6 Series 3 4.2 Thermotime Switch EAC1385 - Does anyone know of a cheaper equivalent please.

The ‘book’ gives slightly different specs for the 6 and 12 thermotime, Staffan - but there is no reason why they should not work on either engine…
