I have a friend who is selling his XJ40 Dimple wheels. I was
wondering if they will fit and work properly on my 1986 Series III or
any XJ40 wheel for that matter for reference. I have been looking for
a nice relatively cheap set of XJS basket weave wheels to no avail and
thought these might fit the bill. I am just not into the kent wheels.

All the XJ40 wheels will fit our SI-SIII cars. The only problem is the
center hole size and that can be handled with a 1/2-5/8 inch spacer.

I had dimple wheels (16x7 version) on my 87 XJ6 and now on my S3 V12. I gently hammered the grease cap on the front wheel so that it was a bit
more form-fitting over the nut and the wheels went on fine, no spacer
required.
