[xj] XJ6 head identification

List:

I would appreciate help on this.

Are the numbers on the back of the head any indication of when it was
produced or what it was originally used on?

If not, is there any number on the head that will identify it?

I’ve head that there should be a number on the back of the cam sprocket
enclosure (at the front of the valley) but I don’t have anything there.

On a related question, does the Heritage Certificate show the original head
number, and/or is it somewhere on the car?

Regards
Lou

Lou,
In case you don’t spot it on this here XJ list, I’ve taken some
shots and posted them and put a reply on the XK engine list.

I would have cross posted also to this list but can’t work out
how. - Could anyone enlighten me as to how to do that?

numbers as such.

Cheers,From my research it appears that XJ’s don’t have head serial
