XJ12 -86 Limited Slip?

Not sure where the ring ID point came from - I don’t recall anyone ever mentioning it as an issue. The carriers differ in the way you say and the commonest swap I read about is people wanting to fit 2.88 gears into a 3.54 diff, which doesn’t work. Yes, with spacers and bolt sleeves all sorts of swaps become feasible, but I was thinking more of the OEM standard setups that Salisbury supplied to Jag.

Just my point… no issue with the ID, OD might differ slightly but not much… and makes no difference for the install.

As this is a race car build the 2.88 is a no-go… most likly that gear set will end up in my XJS that currently has a 3,31.

Thanks for all input

One might check for a local off road shop. The Dana 44 is popular there, many builds with varying features.
