My 1992 XJ6(40) has a very expensive abs teves system. I am having
problems with it.
I was thinking about retrofitting it with a non-abs, conventional
vacuum booster and master cylinder system.
Has anyone done this already on this type of car?
Please note: I have seen the post on a previous model (1988 or
1989). Eventhough I find it usefull, I believe that model
uses a different original brake system.
thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide

I have an 89 model and have completed the conversion to the vacuum
booster, and must say that my model also has ABS, but I did not
tamper with that at all. I have heard on this list though that the
Teves system is very reliable. You should be able to convert the
booster over to vacuum with disconnecting or disturbing the ABS
System at all. Maybe someone on the list can offer some help on
your problem. What is wrong with the brakes on your car.–
