[xj40] Cracked hose on Oil Refill tube

Im not very good at description so here it goes:

88 3.6 VDP

There is a hose that comes of the oil refill tube about 4-5 inches
from the top. the hose comes out toward the drivers side and
connects to the air intake near the throttle body.

This hose is cracked completely around.

Questions:

  1. Would this cause a MASSIVE oil leak?

  2. Where can I get a replacement (new)?

It’s a breather hose. I’m not sure of the leakage possibility, or

to add to what Wes said, be sure to get the right hose for your
year and model … IIRC, there are like 3 or 4 styles of this hose
(e.g. some are ‘‘y’’ shaped) and I think the VDP even had a different
style just for that model …–
