The car is a 91’ xj6:
The inside domlights both recently started doing something
very odd. When I turn the car off the lights never fully
turn off they will fade to a certain extent and then just
remain on never completeing turning off.
Also, when I ever I switch my AC unit on I blow the fuse in
the passengar side fuse box (in the glovebox).
Has anyone ever heard of this problem? Can anyone give me
some advice to trouble shoot this problem ?
Thanks–

One possibility is that the diode in one of the headrest lamp circuits has
shorted out. Try pulling the bulb in each headrest in turn and see if that
changes anything.
On the a/c problem, did you mean it when you said the fuse was in the glove
box? The fuse that feeds the a/c is in the group down by the passengers
right foot(US model). Is the fuse of the proper current rating? I believe it
should be 20A. If it is, then to isolate the problem further try pulling
first the Compressor Clutch relay and then the Cooling Fan relay. They are
both up front in the engine compartment to the right of the radiator. See if
with one of them out, the fuse no longer blows.
