[xj40] Fuel Fail 14 and CTS

I’ve succeeded in replacing the fuel pump, however, the car
won’t run above idle w/ the Temperature Coolant Sensor
connected. Starts and drives w/slight handicap
disconnected.I’ve cleaned all associated connections,
including the MAF connector. Throttle Position Sensor will
not give the full range, only .57-5 volts, instead of .57
-6.2v. I’m getting about a 40% power loss upon accelleration
and full throttle. It slowly bogs a second and then
accellerates. I’m beginning to suspect a bad ECU. But, I
would rather rule out all other possible faults, first. I’ve
cleaned the ECU connetions, too.

Any suggestions??–

You mentioned earlier that you suspected you had installed the wrong CTS,
didn’t you? Have you checked that out? The correct
temperature-voltage-resistance characteristic is in the Jag-lovers photo
album an din the archives.
