[xj40] Heater Control Valve 93 and up?

Hello,

Does anyone have any idea how to get a wrench on the heater control
valve on a 93 XJ6? The only way I see is to remove the intake
manifold…

Thanks!

I use a crow’s foot. It’s 15/16 or 1’’, I don’t remember
which. You may have to move a few small items to get access,
but not the whole manifold. Be sure you have a new ferrel
(5/8’’) as reusing the old one can be difficult. One from the
plumbing store will look different but works if your parts
supplier does not offer one.
Good luck

Thanks! I bought a 15/16 crow’s foot and it turned out to be
pretty easy. I now have heat!
