I can’t locate my owner’s manual anywhere, and a dash icon that
looks like a lighting bolt has come on recently, what does that
indicate?–

The lightning flash icon indicates your car has a blown or
missing fuse (or a bad solder joint behind a fuse socket in
one of the fuse boxes - less likely).
If you press the VCM button, it will tell you in which fuse
box the problem lies.
‘Circuit 1’ = the right side fuse box
‘Circuit 2’ = the left side fues box
‘Circuit 3’ = the centre fuse box
The side fuesboxes are at the base of each ‘A’ pillar on the
front door hinge posts near the footwells.
The centre fuse box is under a prise-off (from the rear)
flap under the armrest inside the centre cubby box.
If you do not know which system is ‘dead’ due to that blown
fuse, you need to pull each fuse in the box indicated by the
VCM individually to check it.–
