In reply to a message from NickT sent Fri 24 Feb 2006:
First, check that the wire is still connected to the sender. Mine
came loose, and I just had to slide it on and off a couple of times
to clean the contact before it started working.
The sender is located on the left side of the engine (facing
forward) just below the 2nd and 3rd cylinders from the front. I
found that I could just squeeze my hand in below those two intake
runners, feel the sender, and check the wire.
I would not drive that car around until I was absolutely positive
that I had oil pressure.
