[xj40] Lower Ball Joint Retaining Bolt Torque?

Just replaced lower ball joints, along with the crossmember and,
well let’s say the whole front end. Haynes says that the torque for
the lower ball joint retaining bolts is 41-45 lb ft. This seems
that it would make for a very bad day. It wouldnt be the first time
Haynes has lead us astray. Is there a torque for these four bolts?
And if so, does anyone know what it is?–

Mark,

Lower ball joint attachment bolt torque is quoted in the FSM
as 29-33 Nm, or about 21-23 lbf/ft.

Sometimes Haynes is dangerous! Hope you didn’t snap any bolts!–
