[xj40] new sumitomos

Got the new 215/65/15 sumitomos mounted via a mobile tire service Tuesday.
(got the Volvo done at the same time). So far after about 50 miles I am
happy with them. Car is more sure footed now with new tires after about 55k
on the Michelin MXV4s. They are a little louder, but some of that my be my
failing differential. The balancing was OK, but not a road force balance.
They will come back and do that for me if I find vibrations I don’t like,
but so far nothing of the kind up to about 80mph. I will report more later
when I drive them in the rain, snow, etc. gotta take Gud Kity to a shop
tomorrow to find/fix a P/S leak that’s been bugging me. then all that’s
left is the diff and a new heater core.

Eliot, Eliot, Eliot…SURELY you know by now that you’re
tempting Fate by saying ‘‘all that’s left is the…’’

Still, you’ve done it now. Just sit and wait for the next
thing…–
