[xj40] No spark at plugs

My 90 XJ6 was running fine and the engine suddenly quit. I have no
spark at the spark plugs. I changed the ignition amplifier, crank
position sensor and coil. I have voltage at the harness that plugs
into the ignition amplifier when the key is turned on. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a spark at the HT lead from the coil to ground?
If you do but not at the plugs, check the distributor rotor.
They sometimes break down and the HT shorts down to the
distributor shaft.–

When I first got my XJ I had a cap intermittently, then
permanently go bad it looked fine on the outside but
something had broken down inside of where the carbon piece
sticks out…
