rear child saftey engaged on both rear doors, both handels
simultaniously break, I can not figure out how to open them. I have
removed all door panels.

Remove the white plastic trim insert at the latch, then look inside
with a flashlight. You’re looking for a vertical rod outboard of
the window track (the window must be all the way up). On earlier
cars, pull up on the rod to release the latches to open the doors.
On later cars, push down on the rod to release the latch. I
believe the change-over was in 1992. If there is a white plastic
bell-crank assembly affixed to the top of the side door beam, you
have the later cars and the rod should be pushed down.
Once you have the door open, you can disable the child-proof lock
mechanism.–

I looked inside the door I only see the vertical rod for the door
locks. I pushed down on one piece and the interior handel moved the
other piece I pushed on locks and unlocks the door. I can not find
the rod that will open the door? please help
