[xj40] Refit Oil Cooler Pipe Repair Kit XJ81 6.0 ltr

Dear all

I’m puzzled how to get right the repair kit to the oil
cooler return hose and cooler pipe. The connection works as
a turn-push mechanism for fit/ refit, then are a set of
several o-rings, and a funny wire basket as a counter claw.
I tried to refit that, however without that special tool
called JD 183. First attempt failed due to the wire basket.
Just after start the engine the connection blow up. I was
wondering if someone could tell me how to get safe the kit.

Best regards

Hello again

I finished the problem with a hack saw, then cut the rubber
hose just behind the head and kick that crap in the litter box.

So, there are 20 mm left for connect the rubber hose with
the oil cooler pipe. Use two worm clips to seal that and in
addition two clips as anti-puller, one of them behind the
pipe ring, therefore fix the clips no 1 - no 4 with steel
wire. It works.

Best regards
