[xj40] SLS system

I have the SLS which levels as it should but gives a hard bouncy
ride. My experiences with the BMW version of this system would
indicate that the gas accumulators are shot, which on the BMW are
externally connected spheres (very similar to the brake
accumulator). Are the ‘gas bags’ inside the shocks on the Jag SLS?
If so has anyone tried fitting external accumulators to shot SLS
shocks (I just happen to have a couple of BMW ones in my shed)
Citroen also has a system with the external accumulators (which are
considerably cheaper than the BMW)

Nat,

No, the Jag SLS is pure hydraulic, pressurised from the
engine driven pump which on the V12 is in tandem with the
power steering pump which you see ghosted in this picture;-
