[xj40] TAIL LIGHT AND BRITSH CAR JOKE

I was trying to fix my tail light on Saturday. There was nobody around to check it when I press the brake so I asked a passerby biker. Accidentaly, also an owner of several British cars, he told me this joke:

“Do you know why the British drink warm beer?”

“…Because they have Lucas refridgerators!” (:-)…

Back to my Lucas tail light. I changed the bulb and checked the fuse box and it still does not work. Any ideas?

For starters…if you intend to work with British electrics, get a test
light.

Make sure that the taillight wire has current…if it does, you have a bad
ground.

IMHO this is the number one cause of problems with automotive electrics,
regardless of where they were made.

Jeb, bitten by bad grounds once too often…8>)
