I am looking for an oil relief valve for an xjs and cannot find any. I have tried most regular sites moss motors ,moss Europe ,terry’s vintage, David manners etc etc and cannot find any. Can anyone guide me as to where I may obtain a new one? Even a repair kit would do. Awaiting anyone’s recommendations please.

According to my XJ-S Parts Catalogue there were two oil relief valves used in the 5.3L V12. The part number was RTC1143 for the USA, Canada, and Japan market cars. The part number for the other countries is EAC7149. I have no idea why they are different depending on the market.
I recommend that you search the internet for the part number that is correct for your car and also contact your local Jaguar dealership parts department to see if they can get it for you. I have been pleasantly surprised more than a few times when my local Jaguar dealership was able to source parts for me that were impossible to find elsewhere.

The valve differed depending on whether the car used a full flow or bypass type oil cooler.

I do not recall anybody asking for an oil relief valve before now.
So what is the story ?
I have pulled apart a couple of oil filter bodies to check and clean them up.
The component parts are essentially non destructible except for seals and gaskets, so not much chance Jaguar ever thought of stocking spare parts.
I guess if you have lost or damaged anything in this area you need to look for a complete oil filter body from a scrap car.

Its a link I found on a Google search, when you click on the link, it shows $45 as I recall.
Many thanks Jerry. They were the first I contacted but do not have in stock. I tried all the product codes for the part number and cannot find anyone who has this part. Hope some suppliers see our messages and get back to us .
