XJS ZF steering rack into S1 pump

Discovery of a power steering rack from 93 XJS at pick you parts has prompted me to grab the front suspension along with the ZF rack. i did grab the hoses also
Is there any way to use adapter fittings to make my older pump work?

many thanks

,

I guess I need to look into a xj6 or xjs pump with metric hose fittings, can anyone help me out on what year that started?

So to answer my own post question,

The external threading of the fitting for imperial and metric pumps are the same.

So it is possible to replace the imperial 5/8”x18 pressure fitting on the pump with the correct pressure fitting of 16mm x 1.5 o-ring that fits the metric hose from the XJS. One just needs to source a fitting.

You can get them from Summit, JEGS, or even eBay
But I went to the local pick your parts and looked for late 80’s early 90’s pumps.

The one I ended up using was from a commercial GMC truck with a remote reservoir.

Here it is after I changed out the fitting.
