Duco, the alloy OTS apparently had a spring on the bonnet hinge. See pages L24
and P26 in the manual. Compare with the hinge for steel body cars on page L39.
Looks like it’s to hold the back of the bonnet down? Alloy owners have told me
the hinge is a pretty poor design.
Coincidentally, page L39 answers my earlier question about whether there
should be a wire on terminal A2 of the regulator on FHC. Yes. So the wiring
diagram is wrong.
