[xk] 150DHC Top Hold Downs

My 150 DHC is almst complete, and she is pretty if I say so myself.
Horns, turnsignals and WWWipers work, at least for now. But I can’t
figure out how to work the things that are designed to hold the top
down, while driving. What do they ‘hold’ on to? What mnakes the lever
action work? It may be that I have them reversed. Any ideas, or
pictures?

Thanks,
Bob Sack

Hi Bob

I sent pics off list for the front, don’t have the hooks for the
back, good luck on those.

Bob from what I can tell the arm reaches to the corner of the top
frame that is round and forms a triangle. the latch has to be
positioned just right to make the last angle of the lever connect
into position. Mine did not have original holes to put them in so I
had to play with them. they do not stay latched so I have had to
put a safety (pipe cleaner wire) around them to keep them down. I
am just finishing my top cover to put over the top when it is down
so I am sure that with that on the top will stay down. Where should
I send a picture to you of what I have done. Jim
