[xk] 1950 Metallic Silver Paint Code

I am considering having my 1950 120 OTS painted as near to the
original metallic silver as possible. It doesnt need to be exact,
just quite close. Does anyone have a paint code which my paint man
can cross reference here in the UK? I have spent some time looking
through the archives, lots of stuff about metallic particle sizes
and USA samples etc. but nothing specific. Perhaps I missed it.–

The original paint was British Dolomac Zofelac cellulose enamel and
the color code was D.3124; I have in my notes that PPG code MEL4B
is supposed to be equivalent, though I have not heard from anybody
who has tried it.–

Ed, your picture came through to me ok. What was the source book? Was it
Jaguar specific? What year published?
Here is what Ed sent.

Rob, from memory an English standard colours book

Very old one that one of the spray painters had kept.

I just took pics of the colours that lined up with Jaguar names.

I’ve just now sent you the lot that I have.
Remember the settings given are cumulative up to 500 units.–
