LeeIf you are indeed parting out the car or selling it please let me know the
details. I also
have a 120 DHC and am interested in parts or the whole car.

Thank You

Could someone please educate us:

What is a Borrani wheel?

regards,

Mike

Borrani made very well manufactured wire wheels in general for the Italian
real sports cars like Mazerati and Fararee. They differ from the old original
design of the Brits by a aluminum rim with a edgy rim, rather than the rolled
original rims. 'They run pretty well because the aluminum rim is trimmed on
lathes. They should be lighter in weight, but I never checked on that, so I am
not for sure on that.
The company is still in existence, but makes Fiat and other Italian made steel
wheels. They are located in a northern suburb of Milano, Italy.
I ordered 5 wheels for a XK 120 OTS many years ago, and got them made from
Borrani on special order.
The ww workshop was a tiny little attic, which looked a bit British. By the
way, the stickers which came with the Borranis said RUDGE-WHITWORTH PATENTS
and had a red hand in the center. 4 patent #s were listed under the logo.(I
still have 5 stickers, but am not sure that they still stick. Make me an
offer) Attn. The wheels were very expensive.
There was a little ww repair shop in Marina Del Ray, Ca. years ago advertising
with Borrani logo on the rh of (was it) Lincoln Blvd., the main street running
south to north through the town. That might be closer than Milano. Give it a
try.

I’d love to have a set of Borranis, what size are they? I’m based in the
UK. How much are you asking?
Rlearmonth@compuserve.com

Every Ferrari that uses wire wheels use Borrani. They are an aluminum rim
wheel with chrome spokes and center section. Very nice on the eyes, and
lighter than all steel wire wheels.

Terry,
Get in touch with Bruce at BWW in Santa Cruz, CA for the Borrani$.
Can’t help, with the 140 stuff.–

I may know of someone that would be interested in these. How much are
you asking for them?
