[xk] 5 speeds getrag swap

Hi
I have a 265 used gear box and machines like lathe, milling
machine, welding machine
I know roughly what are the modifications to do on the
Getrag gear box to put it on a 140 FHC.
But to limit the time spent in researches to do it I would
like to know some data: for instance the thickness of the
spacer between the clutch housing and the gear box, the way
to carry out the the shift lever. If it is possible to use a
BMW clutch disc?
I’m interested by sketches, pictures.
Thanks for help

Hi Luc,

Just measured the Gatrag box I put on my 150.

Bellhousing to the gearbox front plate - The spacer is made from Half Inch
thick Ally Plate

Gear leaver assembly has a 2.84 inch spacer between the gearbox and the
rubber unit holding the gear leaver.

A 0.6inch solid round bar, presumably of the same length (2.84in) connecting
the bottom of the leaver to the gearbox selection shaft via a short steel
sleeve tube.

Hope all that makes sense!!

Clutch, I think I used an eType competition clutch friction plate and cover
set-up.

eMail me if you need any further info.

Thanks a lot Phil
If I have well understood, 2.84 inch is the distance between
the gearbox and the center line of the gear lever?
