Hello Folks,
I am finally getting back to putting my 3.8L. ('67 "S" type) back
together and have some questions as to the length of some of the fasteners
that go into various areas of the engine. My manual doesn’t go into such
detail as to length and thread size. I understand the XK 120 parts manual
goes into such detail however that would be for a 3.4L. engine. Does anyone
know if any of the in print manuals that are generally available have
details for a 3.8L ?
Thanks,
Wes Keyes_________________________________________________________________

Wes;
You might find someone with an XK 150 Parts Manual to see is it has the
“nuts and bolts” list at the back of the book (called the “Standard Parts”).
The other option is, send me the list of part numbers for the bolts,
etc. (OFF-LIST) you are interested in knowing about and I’ll see if they are
listed in my 120 parts book… it might identify some of them at lears…
after all, some nuts and bolts never change…
Jaguar used “their” numbering systen on some nuts and bolts so anything
that starts with a “BD” or a “C” isn’t listed in the nuts & bolts page
anyway… Those part numbers begining with FB, NB, AS, FS, NS AN, FN, etc.
will be listed as to size of thread, length, etc…
