Hi All. I am looking for a replacement dynamo for my 53 XK120. Does
anyone know the correct lucas number for the dynamo or the armature?

What Body Style is your '53 120? Also, you probably ought to pop over to
the XK List, instead… more “XK Only” folks over there… not all the XK
('48-'60 car) people are on the XK-Engine list…
My '53 120 DHC has a “Special Equipment” generator on it (anybody know
what’s “special” about it??). it is original to the car, the geneator has a
“2-53” date while my DHC has a June '53 Build date… the four month
difference is in keeping with the accepted “window”…
The Number on my “Special Equipment” generator is 22457. The Lucas Parts
Book lists P/N 22496 generators for all XK’s. The Aramature part number for
the 22457 generator is 239511. I have no info for the “SE” generator parts.
Maybe this will aid in your search.
