[xk-engine] Electronic ignition

My question was more related to the Multiple spark per firing claim that MSD suggest is an improvement. I assume this is not relevant on a street car.

Multi spark is the norm for most modern ignitions. If you’re doing your control with megasquirt then it’s already there.

Or if you want to really propellor head it: http://www.multispark.net/

Hello Andrew,

very interesting. Have you tried it on what engine?

What about the compression difference because of the plate thickness? Have you used different piston tops, or milled head or crankcase surface?

How much is it roughly? Does it need a special electonic?

Best regards

On a carburetted street engine, I seriously doubt any sensible improvement.
