[xk] Great e-type race video in the E-type section

Minshaw takes his e-type from last place (33rd) to 2nd.

It’s part slaughter of the lambs: humiliating to be those
first 20 odd E-types that he passed within the first few
corners of the race.

Then the rest is a lesson on what it means to find 10/10ths
and then drive the whole race at that level.–

I looked this up on Youtube. Not that he is not a competent
driver, (although he badly missed several apexes, then ran wide
into the grass and had to lift a couple more times) but in my
opinion, he passed the first 20 cars at the start, and several more
after that, because he appeared to have a large horsepower-to-
weight advantage. The video I saw showed the motor sitting on the
ground while they changed the gearbox. Did anyone else think that
looked like an aftermarket aluminum cylinder block? I’m guessing
that he passed 25 cars with stock connecting rods using a motor
with an aftermarket block, crank and rods and an extra 1,500 rpm of
rev range. It’s only humiliating if everyone is using the same
parts.–
