I know the feeling. Tomorrow I get to ride in Carl Hanson’s exquisite 1951
FHC for a 40 mile journey to my sister’s house on the south shore to pick up
my 120. I store it there every winter. Then I get to drive my car back the
same 40 miles together with Carl’s car. We will see a lot of lookers and
thumbs up on the way. The two of them together is spectacular.
Have done this the past two years and it’s the best ride of the year.
Get that operation out of the way and keep on truckin. B6 is just around
the corner.
Driving with another XK is a real treat. Coming back from
the photoshoot for the JEC Southern day program last year
the owner of the other car followed me for quite a number of
miles. Having the other XK in the mirror as well as riding
in on seemed all the more special. Having another in front
would be good too.
Just had a call to say mines ready, so hopefully I can pop
down and collect her this afternoon after her post bonnet
opening hiatus.–
