[xk] HELP! - One curved tab washer away from finishing my steering rack rebuild

Hi All,
I’m one curved tab washer away from finishing my rack and pinion steering
rack rebuild. There are four tabbed washers that hold it together. Two are
flat and two are cupped or curved. The part number is C8053 for the curved
tab washer. I uploaded a picture of the one I have to Jag-Lovers.org and
will post a link when the picture is approved.

XKs is out of 'em. SNG Barratt is out both in the US and the UK. Engels
Imports is also out. I’ve also discovered that many places think they have
them and send you the flat ones which you then have to call and send back
after you get an “oh yeah.” I think we’ve all been there too many times
before on various parts.

Does anyone in this group have an extra that they would be willing to sell
me? If not, know a another source for them? Any info would be appreciated.

Many thanks! This could be the first time my XK has not been driven in
April since its purchase in 1999.

Try Bill Bassett in Rhode Island…or Guy Broad in the UK.
