[xk] JLE overdrive parts, anyone know of any spare parts?

Hello members, I’d like to bring an orphaned JLE o/d Moss box back
to life but it’s missing it’s cover plate assembly i.e. the
complete top cover and correct length selector rods and forks.

I had an ad running on the Parts Exchange but I thought I’d cast
the net wider by asking on this forum where the hardcore parts
junkies (like me) drop in.
I have all the ‘‘C’’ numbers for the parts I need if anyone can help
or knows of a possible lead…
thanks

Hi John,

What car do you need the parts for? Then I can check a parts book
for a picture. I have about a dozen Jag Moss boxes apart, and after
moving the boxes a few times over the past 30 years, it’s all a
jumble and all the parts are mixed up. Most are sedan GBN boxes if
I remember, but an earlier one might be there. Contact off list, as
I don’t look at posts often.

Try
www.overdrive-repair.co.uk. This company has all the original tooling
from Laycock when they shut down. I know they are in the UK but they will
help answer all questions. Yes I have used them and they cut a new gear
shaft and rebuilt the unit while I waited. I am very pleased with the
results.
Usual disclaimer no interests blah blah just a very happy customer
