I don’t know the extent of the “too big” problem with Michelin…don’t know
whether it goes back to '95 or not. It might have been just one batch…but
I wouldn’t take the chance. I would definitely deflate and check the bead. If
you’ve got a good bead you should be OK. If the bead’s OK, I would spin
balance to be sure there are no problems. Remember that if they’re wires
you’ll need a special fixture to mount in a modern spin balance
machine…but that’s a whole 'nother story…
