I just received notice that Trent Terry passed away on Sunday. Obituary
reads:
William Trent Terry, 38, of Benton, IL, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, November
16, 2008 at Helia Healthcare Center, Benton, IL.
His wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Benton American Legion, 311 South Main
St., Benton, IL. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home, Benton, IL is in charge of
arrangements.

Mr. Terry was born on October 7, 1970 in DuQuoin, IL., the son of William H.
Terry and Nikki (Doty) Gorby. He Married the former Kimberly Kern on October
22, 2007 and she survives.
He was a part owner of Terry’s Jaguar Parts in Benton, IL. He and his father
were world famous for building Jaguar racing engines and race cars. He was a
former professional race car driver in SCCA and continued to drive the #77
black 1963 E-Type Jaguar Coupe in vintage racing. He enjoyed riding
motorcycles and was an avid supporter of greyhound rescue efforts. He and
his wife Kim adopted four former racing greyhounds, Perky, Merle, Wichita
and Seiger.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Kimberly Terry, Benton, IL, three step
daughters, Aisha Mitchell and Ned, Sesser, IL, Kailee Swalls and fianc� Eric
McCollum, Benton, IL, Taigan Neibch, Benton, IL, one step-granddaughter,
Carrigan Mitchell, Sesser, IL, his father, Bill Terry and wife Tari, Benton,
IL, his mother, Nikki Gorby and husband Bob, St. Petersburg, FL, one sister,
Rikki Bonthron and husband Ray, Benton, IL, nephew and niece, William and
Stefanie Bonthron, both of Benton, IL, uncle, Troy Doty, Kimberling City,
MO, three step-brothers, CJ, Nathan, Shawn Handlin, special friends, Don
Hopkins and Devin Russell, and all of the employees of Terry’s Jaguar Parts.
